Annually the Trout Lake Nature Center sponsors a Wild or Nature Love photo contest. In this contest, photographers take photos of natural things that form a heart. This contest is to encourage people to get outdoors, enjoy nature and look more closely. You never can tell what you will see.

Over 44 entries were received of items varying from leaves, rocks, lichen, clouds, birds, tree trunks and more. The winner of the competition was Brunilda Garlarza with a photo of leaf hearts against the setting sun. Runners up were Walt Leesch with two ducks forming a heart and Ellen Post with a photo of a heart in a rock along the water’s edge. All photos will be featured on the Trout Lake Nature Center’s Facebook page and on TLNC’s lobby television for visitors to enjoy.
